So I just got a copy of Barney Hoskyns’ book entitled “Say it one time for the broken hearted: The country side of Southern soul.”  I bought it from Amazon and bought the cheapest used copy, of course.  I think it’s the original edition.  I looked inside and realized, “Holy shit, this is signed by the author, made out to Jerry Wexler.”  The Jerry Wexler,  producer of Aretha, Charles, the Drifters; he coined the term “Rhythm and Blues,” for goodness sake. How cool is that!?
